PACKING TIPS FROM THE TREND45 TEAM

I have to admit, I’ve never actually been on a TREND trip. I also have to admit that I am not the type of person to look exceptionally fashionable when I travel. I was raised on backpacking trips, what can I say!?

So when I found out that I was going to be going to nightclubs, yacht trips, and even just being in front of a camera in Tulum, Mexico, I knew that I needed to step up my game with regards to the clothes I bring with me. I don’t think that throwing a few swimsuits, t-shirts and shorts into a carry on along with my toothbrush is going to cut it this time around.

When it got down to figuring out what to pack, I simply went through the TREND45 Pinterest board (here!) and pulled anything that I thought fit the aesthetic out of my closet. The tricky part now though was how to fit it all into my suitcase. This is when I asked the veteran TREND team members for some help.

The overwhelming answer was to simply have Veronica (our bad ass sales manager) do your packing for you. Unfortunately, you guys aren’t all spoiled with a Veronica as we are, so I gathered together a few other packing tips for you.

Note: TREND45 also sends out a packing list to those who purchase tickets to any of our events, so be sure to keep an eye on your email for that!

try on your outfits before you pack them

You don’t only want to pack great clothes, you want to pack great clothes that look good together. By trying on your outfits before you pack them you will avoid overpacking unnecessary items and can be confident that your look with be killer.

Pack clothes you know you will wear

If you’re anything like me, comfort is KEY. If I have to be adjusting my top every 15 seconds I’ll become super irritated and it will ruin my whole day. I’d recommend packing things that are fashionable, but also that you will love wearing.

bring dual purpose clothing items

That black top that you love so much, can you wear it twice? Maybe change accessories or throw something on top to change the look, but being able to use the same piece of clothing several times will save you a ton of suitcase space.

roll your clothes

Like I said, I typically travel more like a nomad than a celebrity, so when I am only granted a backpack for a several week long trip, this hack saved me. I honestly am always shocked how much room in your suitcase this will save you. Try it out!

Layer up at the airport

If you aren’t wearing jeans, shorts, two sweatshirts, a t-shirt, a hat, and a bikini on your flight, you’re doing it wrong. Okay, maybe that was a little extreme, but planning out what you’re going to wear to the airport is CRITICAL. Wear your bulky items on the flight and shove the rest into your luggage.

Hopefully these tips help you as much as they do me. Can’t wait to see what you guys manage to fit into your suitcases in Tulum!
