FROM COLLEGE BARS TO CLUBS IN MYKONOS
Danny and ed, the guys who make up the dj group the sho, made a decision to travel to mykonos with trend45, allowing them to put on a sho of a lifetime.
To most, TREND45 events sound almost too good to be true. I know they do for me. I mean, how often do you get to travel with a bunch of creative people to luxurious locations to go on extraordinary adventures to make memories that will last forever? For most, not very often. Yet, as incredible as this all sounds, it’s also terrifying.
As someone who was newly hired, I have not yet had the opportunity to attend a Trend event. My co-workers do nothing but hype up their experiences traveling with Trend, but I was still a little skeptical of their bias. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to talk to the DJ’s who attended the Mykonos trip and hear all about their experience traveling with Trend.
The duo who make up the DJ group, The Sho, is “just a couple of dudes” named Danny and Ed. These guys were eager to speak to me about their journey in music and what it was like to attend a Trend event, and I was just happy to be hearing about it from someone who had no reason not to be honest.
Before I even expressed my fear of traveling with a group of people I’ve never met before, Danny and Ed emphasized how close everyone was on the trip. They told me that when they first arrived in Mykonos they had a difficult time telling who had previously met and who was completely new to the group. “It was surreal… like home away from home,” they told me. The vetting process done when people apply made them feel comfortable with who they were spending a week of their lives with. Danny and Ed talked highly about the other travelers saying that they quickly became one big family. Hanging up the phone after my conversation with these two, my mind was put at ease and the fear I was facing about never having met anyone I will be traveling with disappeared.
Yet, Trend didn’t only provide Danny and Ed with an incredible experience in traveling and making connections in the industry, but it also gave the duo an opportunity to go from DJs who are well known in the Midwest college bar scene to have their music heard in a whole new country. From their beginnings in high school when they bonded over EDM in the car on their way to Burger King, their usual spot for munchies, to playing music across the world, Danny and Ed were extremely thankful that they are involved with Trend. These two are certainly people I am looking forward to meeting, and making part of my family, in Tulum, Mexico where they will be playing music all three weeks.
